mashed, yeah I know the story behind it.
It was put up literally about a day after we'd played Port Vale in April 1991, with Ian Bishop scoring a cracker to win 1-0.
It was done by a local Spurs fan, who hated WHU.
The only reason he chose Port Vale was cos we'd just played them. It's that simple.

Not been to Upminster since about 2008 but it was definitely still there then.
